The Trusted Creator

Impartiality policy

A certificate is only worth what stands behind it. These are the rules that keep our decisions independent of who is paying.

Last updated 28 October 2026

1.Fees do not depend on the result

Fees are set by follower count and fixed in writing before any work starts. We never agree a fee that depends on a certificate being issued.

2.No consulting for audited creators

We publish the standard and explain it, but we do not sell advice on how to pass to the creators we audit. A creator who wants help can use any independent adviser.

3.Conflicts of interest

Before an audit starts, the auditor records a declaration that they have no financial, family, business or sponsorship link to the creator. Without it the sample cannot be drawn and a certificate cannot be issued. An auditor with a link does not work on that audit.

4.Random sampling

The auditor, not the creator, chooses the videos using a recorded random seed. The seed is stored so the draw can be reproduced.

5.Second review

Any refusal is reviewed by a second auditor who did not work on the file. The system does not tell the creator the outcome of a refusal until that person approves it.

6.Appeals and complaints

Creators can appeal in two stages, and anyone can report a problem or misuse of the mark. See the

appeals procedure

and the

report form

.

7.Records

Every action by staff that changes an audit, a certificate or an appeal is recorded with who did it and when. Removals are public in the

registry

.

8.Review of this policy

We review this policy each year and whenever something goes wrong. Changes are dated on this page.
